Ration card is the card issued by civil supplies department . It is the duty of the government which sees that every BPL family meets the basic food need. Through ration card one can avail of getting groceries at lowest rates. At ration card shop one can get groceries like rice, dal, oil, kerosene, soaps, etc., civil supplies department makes it a point to see that none is left without food. They supply the ration to these ration shops at subsidised rates.
Every BPL holder holds pink card or white ration card. It is the responsibility of every ration card holder that he/she take commodities every month. In case of shifting of house, then one has to follow the below process, to get change of address, in ration card. Every ration card holder must possess only one card with one residential address. Not only constituency, but also it is applicable in changing of districts as well.
One has to visit FSO (Food Supplies Office ) coming under your jurisdiction with original ration card. Download the form, submit all the necessary documents with reasonable service charges.

Visit the nearest mee seva center
Log onto official meeseva website
Click on “meeseva services forms”
Under that section select “civil supplies”
In civil supplies, click on ration card member application form
Download the form and fill it properly
- Ration card number
- Present address details to be changed
- Informant details
Duly sign it
Submit the entire application form at FSO (Food Supply Office) in your area. Ration card is approved by MRO/ASO officer. They provide you a slip for keeping the track of status of ration card. It may take about 30 days for issuing of changed address of ration card.
